Cave to Cellar™ respects and protects your privacy. We have designed our site to maintain privacy and to protect your purchases and personal information. We are committed to providing a safe, secure and protected location to browse and purchase wines. We are in full compliance with federal, state, and local wine sales requirements.
Specific Privacy Policies
Information Collection and Sharing.
Cave to Cellar™ is the sole owner of information collected at this site. We do not sell or otherwise distribute this information to other retailers/parties/wine businesses/business entities.
However, Cave to Cellar™ does share this information with the outside parties it uses to complete its business transactions, including shipping companies to process orders, outside credit card companies to process payments, and an outside age verification company to verify that our purchases are made only to customers that are over 21 years of age. These outside companies are trusted, and do not retain or share this information for any other purposes.
Log Files.
As a normal consequence of the operation of this website, log files are generated any time a visitor or customer peruses our Web site. The information collected in log files does not include the site user’s personal identifiers and is used for technical purposes, such as site debugging, site development and site usage statistics.
Creating an Account.
When you create an account with Cave to Cellar™, you must provide the following information:

- Email address
- Home Address
- Phone Number (optional)
- Password
- Credit card information (optional)
For wholesale customers: resale permit number
This personal information will be protected by the latest encryption techniques. This information is then used by Cave to Cellar™ to set up a user account for each member. The special benefits of membership will be available to members once they have registered and logged into their accounts.
Credit card information will be stored securely, as explained below.
Wine Club.
Registering for our wine club will require that you supply us with valid credit card information, which we will use to charge you for our monthly wine delivery. This will be the only use for this card, and our card processing and security for the wine club match that for the rest of the site. Upon joining the club, you will select the amount you wish to spend per month on wine, and we will select wines that are within the amounts you have specified.
Credit card information will be stored securely, as explained below.
Writing Comments/ Community.
Please be aware that any personally identifiable information that a member posts on our community message boards can be read, collected, and used by anyone accessing the Cave to Cellar™ website. We are not responsible for consequences of posting personally identifiable information on these forums. If you would like to change a post, please contact the web content moderator at admin@cavetocellar.com.
Credit Card Processing and Security.
Shopping at Cave to Cellar™ is a safe and secure environment. We use the latest encryption techniques to ensure that your personal information (name, address, email address, credit card number, expiration date, security code, and phone number) cannot be read as it travels to our ordering system. To further ensure your data security, this financial information is stored and read from a secure area. It is not sold or shared under any circumstances.
Credit card and other financial information is only sent to our credit card processing business partner, and absolutely not stored by Cave to Cellar™ in any way. All credit card transactions are performed by this third-party, trusted financial institution. We use and store the other personal information for age verification, and to fill our customers’ orders. If we have problems processing an order, the contact information will be used to resolve any difficulties.
Gift Receipts.
We require contact information for the gift recipient such as name, shipping address, and phone number for all gift packages. This information is never sold, or otherwise shared.
Cookies.
A cookie, also known as an HTTP cookie, web cookie, or browser cookie, is a small piece of data sent from a website and stored in a user’s web browser while a user is browsing a website. When the user browses the same website in the future, the data stored in the cookie can be retrieved by the website to notify the website of the user’s previous activity. Cave to Cellar™ uses cookies to associate web users with the correct login session. If the user’s browser is configured to reject cookies, it will be difficult to use the site and impossible to buy wine.
Web Tracking.
We may use cookies to track your visit to the website in order to improve our website optimization and adwords.

Cave to Cellar™ is not responsible for the privacy practices of these other sites. Emails.
Cave to Cellar™ uses email addresses as a primary method for contacting members. We will send receipts, order confirmations and delivery information to members by email. We will also notify members of promotional information by email.
Surveys.
Cave to Cellar™ solicits wine preference and uses information from its members by survey as part of the registration process. We use this information to better understand the types of products that our members find interesting. We may suggest other products to members based on the survey results. Participation in the survey is voluntary, and the member may choose what information to disclose. The survey information is not sold or shared with others outside of Cave to Cellar™.

By using the Cave to Cellar™ website, you consent to allow Cave to Cellar™ to collect and use your information as described in this policy.
Cave to Cellar™ fully participates with law enforcement agencies in identifying and prosecuting those who use its website and services for illegal activities. We reserve the right to release information about users who we believe are in violation of our content guidelines. We also reserve the right to report to law enforcement agencies any activities we believe to be unlawful.
