Notable for its perfumed nose of roses, earth, black tea, and red fruit. Still fairly closed at this stage, but a core of concentrated fruit lies behind prominent but soft tannins and an appealing acidity. A certain richness suggestive of a more opulent future is pushing through the veil of youth and some attractive woody, earthy flavors are already apparent on an extended finish. Will need time, but already portends an interesting development.
Food pairing: Duck; venison; other game or fowl; roasted chicken; earthy, mushroom-scented dishes
Good structure with bold acidity, lots of cranberry and strawberry flavors and suggestions of dried herbs. Over time, expect the fruit to become riper and more lush. Very solid and balanced.
